Ashley Lathe - Painting
Ashley Lathe has beautiful application of water color paint, he achieves amazingly smooth well mixed gradients and great detail (he also did an excellent job of capturing my home state of Kansas and the huge skies there).

Yeah, Ashley handles the watercolours well. I own a Kansas piece, and it's a beauty. The glazing in the sky is really well executed, very smooth and natural.
The relationship between the foreground and the background is well done. That makes the beauty of the sky even more evident. I think it's almost Rothko-esque in spirit.
