Square America - Photography

I find it interesting how old everyday photos from the past have a certain value of beauty that they did not have when they were first produced. The web site Square America does an excellent job of illustrating this. They have a large gallery of everyday old photos from the 50's and 60's of America. These are not professional photos, and they simply depict everyday life. These photos are gorgeous, because we've forgotten (or have never seen) a world quite like that. I think people like National Geographic photos because they show average things in a foreign land, and I think Square America's photos are beautiful in a similar way because they show average things in a foreign time.
