Daniel Simon - Fantasy Design

Fantasy design is one of those areas of design that makes me uneasy because it takes all the raw skills of a fine artist, the understanding of form of an industrial designer, but it seems to always be applied to cheesy sci-fi stuff that always makes you cringe in awkward pain. Daniel Simon though makes his fantasy design seem so mature and believable that you think it's just an industrial design wig-bubble. He is a car designer for Volkswagon, so he obviously has a fine design side to him which has taken over his fantasy work. His website has a variety of really great stuff to look at and is worth a good look. I also suggest reading his bio, he has an interesting story about how growing up behind the Berlin wall effected his creativity.
