Our Ruin, Ambiguity and Mapping
I love how deep thought and discussions about art and design begin to resemble poetry. Commentary on the creative always seems to be so verbose, yet only identifies a very small, yet relevant, idea so much like poetry does. Click here to view a great little post on the Space and Culture blog about photography, mapping, and archeology. The highlight of the piece is:
"Photographs turn the now into the past, or more grandly, into history, depending on rhetoric. Reality is turned antique. Documented triviality is made memorable."
