WGSN - Trend Research

If you are interested in trend research, WGSN is the best. It does an excellent job of not over focusing on fashion trends but explores many other consumer, social, and aesthetic trend areas. Unfortunately you have to pay to see their good stuff, but it is well worth it if you are concerned with trend forecasting.

After having experienced the full consumer trend forecasting process for a design department at a large corporation, I am convinced that thinking in terms of the future and alignment with those trends is the only way for a large brand to remain relevant in our American economy that is becoming more brand oriented. Good design without an understanding of the consumer is worthless.
